BALSA DE PIEDRA SEMILLÓN

Michelini i Mufatto is the project, by Gerardo Michelini, his wife and winemaker, Andrea Mufatto and Manuel, the eldest son of the couple, also a winemaker. For years, they have contributed to placing the Michelini surname, together with Gerardo's brothers, among the most prestigious winegrowers in this part of the world. Its main concept is to demonstrate the purity, minerality, fineness and elegance of the Uco Valley terroir.

Our house, our town, knowing the old vineyards of El Peral and San Jose and the potential of Gualtallary became the town where to live and enjoy its cold winters and warm summers.

Our terroir. The place we choose for its altitude and extremely cold climates that allow us to achieve wines that are displayed in a different, more elegant way. With heights ranging from 1200 to 1700 meters above sea level, temperatures difficult to bear, sand and stone soils; and the eternal custody of the Cordón del Plata, this place gives plenty of reasons to fall in love.

Vineyard planted in 1890 in El Peral, Tupungato, aged for 6 months in 225/500-liter barrels.
