BLANCHARD LURTON – GRAND VIN

    هذه التركيبة غير موجودة.

Blanchard & Lurton is an exclusive venture focused on making "only" high quality cut white wines, being the first of its kind in the country. The passion for white wines and the desire to develop Argentina's potential as a producer of high-quality white grapes, motivated the French winemaker François Lurton and the Mendoza producer Andrés Blanchard to start this viticultural project together in the country.

    DESCRIPTION

The Tocai, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris come from Vista Flores, from the Chacayes Estate planted by François Lurton 20 years ago. Located at 1,100 meters above sea level, with very draining and not very fertile stony and calcareous soils mixed with volcanic moraines.

Tocai: Harvested by hand in crates the first week of March. After a maceration in the press for approximately 5 hours, the press is lowered into a sink to drain for 12 hours. Once the overflow is finished, it is racked to separate the lees. The must is sown with selected yeasts and once the alcoholic fermentation begins, it is put into French barrels. Fermentation takes place in new barrels for a part 40% and a use 60%. It is done at a low temperature (18º C) and takes about 14 days. After fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the coarse lees for 1 month with blends every other day. Then the wine is racked, and the fine lees remain in the barrel for 11/12 months with a weekly batonage.

Sauvignon Blanc: Harvested the second week of March, it follows the same production process as Tokay.

Viognier: Harvested third week of March, also by hand and in boxes, separating the east face from the west face of the row. It is made as a red grape in 3 open barrels and is fermented with the pomace until halfway through fermentation to increase the aromatic expression of the variety and provides a fresh and elegant floral touch. After fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the coarse lees for 1 month with blends every other day for 30 days. Then the wine is racked, and the fine lees remain in the barrel for 11/12 months with a weekly batonage.

Pinot Gris: Mechanical harvest the first week of March. Its elaboration is carried out in stainless steel tanks and its aging as well. No contact with oak.
