ONOFRI WINES little by little has become a pioneer wine project in Mendoza combining the use of traditional grapes from classic areas of Mendoza such as the Lavalle desert, and also innovating in styles and use of little-known grapes in renowned Premium areas like Los Chacayes in Valle de Uco. Renowned winemakers have accompanied them along the way such as Marcelo Onofri, Pablo Martorell, Giuseppe Franceschini and Gonzalo Tamagnini. DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN / VINEYARD - I.G. THE CHACAYES
Los Chacayes is a wine-growing area located 80 km south of Mendoza, an area above the town of Vista Flores, Tunuyán department in the Uco Valley. Climate: Its climate is temperate, with harsh winters and warm summers with cool nights. Due to the height of the region, the temperature range between day and night is very marked, reaching 20 ° C. Summer rainfall: 250/350 mm.
Height: Between 1,100 and 1,200 meters high.
Soil: This region is crossed by some dry streams that descend from the mountain range, drawing its soils composed of alluvial gravels. They are stony, the pebbles appear mixed with coarse sand and some silt, being of little fertility. Due to their physical and mechanical composition, they are very permeable soils, without drainage or salinity problems.
Conduction: 10-year trellis planted with American foot with drip irrigation. The heterogeneity and poverty of the soil, as well as the height, the relatively southern location and the scarcity of rainfall, all these factors apply a slight stress on the vine to which it responds by concentrating all its reserves in black berries, rich in polyphenols, acidity and sugar.

Wine with elegant and deep aromas. Among them, graphite, followed by a note of black fruits and a mild spice.
