CLOS ULTRALOCAL TERRUÑOS OLVIDADOS
It is a project of three friends who came together to create a small winery located in Mendoza, Argentina and we are dedicated to making wines from different places and places in Mendoza.
Their activity started in March 2010, and since then they have created various levels of work. First Clos Ultralocal which is focused on making terroir wines, wines whose characteristics are intimately related to the terroir that saw them born and where their hand is hardly noticeable.
Then they made Revolution Garage, to be able to have wines with more obvious fruit expression and freshness.
The team is made up of Leo Borsi, a renowned international French school winemaker who also works on projects as an advisor in France (Cahors) and Spain (Ribera el Duero) and who was for more than 10 years Winemaker of the famous Vieux Télégraphe winery in Chateauneuf-du-Pape ..

GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION: Rama Caída Place, San Rafael Mendoza
SOIL AND SUB SOIL: Primary and secondary alluvium as a result of the growth and confluence of the Atuel and Diamante rivers.
VARIETY: 100% Malbec
AGE OF THE VINEYARDS: 25 years on average
VINIFICATION: Manual harvest with double selection, followed by a third selection in the winery. Gravity vatting, partial destemming, 30% not destemmed in its best parts, traditional fermentation of 25 days in cement vats without temperature control, pneumatic pressing and systematic malolactic fermentation.
AGING: 12 months in oak barrels for one, two and three uses, Bottling without gluing or filtration for 18 months.
PERSONALITY AND AGING: it is part of the great Malbecs of finesse, elegance and depth. The best vintages can be kept for up to 15 years.
